IB Consultancy is proud to announce its partnership with the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons (NCPW) in organising the 4th edition of NCT Middle East! After successful editions in Kuwait, Jordan and the UAE, NCT Middle East 2017 is coming to Doha and discuss the most urgent CBRNe related threats in the Middle East and will bring together experts, end-users, policymakers, industry and procurement staff from all over the region.

 

The National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons (NCPW) was established in in 2004 as a standing committee at the Ministry of Defense, to be a national authority  entrusted with the task of the implementation of international conventions on disarmament, including weapons of mass destruction, as well as the Biological Weapons Convention. The National Committee membership includes one representative from each of the following ministries and bodies: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Energy and Industry, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Municipality and the Environment, Cabinet’s General Secretariat, Hamad Medical Corporation, General Authority of Customs. The year 2012, was the most important year as it witnessed the inauguration of Doha Regional Centre for CBRN Training. The Centre is considered the first of its kind in the Middle East region.
